Income
Goal: To promote income stability among lower to middle income Rhode Islanders. Partner with others to increase access to better jobs through education and training.
- Expand model programs of direct job skills development by continued funding of health and construction industry initiatives and adding one additional initiative.
- Play a leadership role in the development of a coalition to address education and skills development for the RI workforce that has only a high school diploma. Potential partners include The Workforce Alliance, CCRI, Dept. of Labor and Training, RI EDC, Adult Ed. Chambers of Commerce, organized labor and others.
- Increase access to VITA / EITC by 30%, increase access to financial literacy and mainstream banking programs.
