Children’s Book Drive

What is the 2015 Children’s Book Drive?

The annual Children’s Book Drive is a collaborative effort between United Way of Rhode Island and Books Are Wings to engage local businesses, community organizations, individuals, and families to help foster a love of reading while encouraging children to build their own libraries at home. The Drive usually takes place from early May to the middle of June. All new and gently used books for youth of all ages (birth-teen), fiction and nonfiction, in all subject areas are welcome.

The collected books are then distributed to youth across the state at summer learning programs as well as afterschool programs in the fall.

Thank You

Changing lives and strengthening our community, together.

We couldn’t have collected those kinds of books without everyone’s help! Companies, individuals, Amazon donors, and volunteers from Day of Action all made it happen. We sincerely thank you and all that you did for our community.
