2020 Census: Investing In Rhode Island

What if…?

Although we all want our communities to thrive – our cities, towns, schools, nonprofits, and health centers often struggle to fund the services we depend on.

What if there were an easy way to support your neighborhood and the programs that make a difference in your community? What if it were free and only took 10 minutes? What if you didn’t need to leave your house… or even your pajamas? While this may sound too good to be true – it’s not. So, get ready to grab your coffee, open your mail, and fill out your 2020 Census.

It’s never been easier.

Why is your participation so important? Census data helps to determine if Rhode Island receives $3.8 million in federal funding each year – by completing the Census, you’re helping communities across the state secure these critical funds.

How you choose to do the Census is up to you – online, over the phone, or by simply filling out a form. No matter which you choose, taking 10 minutes to fill out the 2020 Census is helping to build 10 years of investments in healthcare, education, roads, libraries, fire stations, public transportation, and economic development for Rhode Islanders.

Count everyone… even the cute little babies.

Don’t worry – it won’t be hard. Just make sure to include everyone in your household, from the cute little babies to those very special seniors… oh, and don’t forget the friends and relatives who live with you.

Your information is confidential and will not be shared with anyone; it’ll be grouped together to give a demographic snapshot of our state. For that picture to be complete, we need to make sure that everyone is counted – so encourage your neighbors, friends, and family to invest 10 minutes to make a decade’s worth of difference.
