Out-of-School Time Learning Commission

House Bill 7413A created a Special Legislative Commission known as the Out-of-School Time Learning Commission.

The 13-member commission is charged with making recommendations to improve and increase the number of quality out-of-school time learning programs in the state. Several Rhode Island Afterschool Network members actively serve as commissioners.

According to its Chairwoman, Representative Julie A. Casimiro:

“This commission will work with all afterschool programs across Rhode Island to ensure we meet the highest standards in afterschool learning and prepare our young people for the best start in life.”
